M O R E T H A N T R A N Q U I L

I found myself asking if things would be ok
And heard "eventually daughter but not today"
I'm still the beginning and I'll be the last
With every trial that comes to pass
Don't confuse the finish line
With ease and comfort and peace of mind
The world is a dark and broken place
And only some will seek my face
My heart breaks when I see my children fall
You laugh when I cry, but you're searching that's all
Filling voids with empty matter
I'll remain when the tangible shatters
Life is more than surviving seasons
you're alive for eternal  reasons
I love you deeply and forever I'm here
This world is temporal but your soul shouldn't fear
In your struggle I'll remain  in control
Stay rooted in love as hardship takes it's toll
One day we will be together and pain will not exist
I promise it's coming- I died for this.

LIVING WATER

This is for any beautiful human who is feeling less than today because they missed the gym, or their pants were a little snug, or they had one too many desserts last weekend. There's nothing wrong with the acrostic reminder of how to stay healthy in  in the trending  picture that says "Eat less CRAP eat more FOOD". Be cautious of becoming so consumed with rules and regulations that allow the distraction shame and punishment to take over when broken. #eternity

Ditch the JUNK consume living WATER

J- Jealousy attained through comparison
U- Ungrateful attitude for how God has provided for your needs- whether your grocery bill is from wal-mart or whole foods.
N- Neglecting the message you are communicating about perfectionism and physical "cleanliness".
K- Knowledge of what is eternal, yet fixated on what is temporary

W- Wait on God to make all things beautiful in his time
A- Adorn the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle spirit (1 Peter 3:3)
T- Tame your tongue in the words you speak to and about yourself.
E- Encourage others through the peace and joy you radiate in the midst of imperfections
R- Responsibility to take care of your health to the best of your ability as a temple and the dwelling place of God, not as an idol to be worshipped.

LOVE OF HEAVEN

Love is patient love is kind, 
This familiar scripture ingrained in our minds. 
But if we genuinely took this truth to heart, 
We’d salvage relationships, falling apart. 
A definition that contrasts the world’s view of Love, 
It withstands any trial, putting others above 
Our selfish desires, or superficial attraction 
We were created for true love, not only fleshly satisfaction. 
Love is not irritable, it’s written in black and white
But the ones we hold close, we are so quick to fight.
The greatest of these is love, so why do we strive for more?
It keeps no records but we love keeping score.
If we have not love- we’re called a noisy gong,
Like the empty hollow love glamorized in love songs.
True love is extended when we obey without hesitation
Not seeking to change people but praying with anticipation
He’s the author of Love, love is his name,
The root of all creation and your heart the same.
